I had symptoms by 5dpo, but didn't realize at the time that's what they were. I felt like I was coming down with a cold and was really tired. I had some nausea a couple days letter and spent the day on the couch. I thought for sure I was sick and left work early the next day to go to a walk in clinic. They gave me a clean bill of health and I was about 5dpo at that time. The next week got worse and then my sense of smell kicked in and I knew something was up. My "normal" pms symptom were also absent as well.
My biggest earliest symptom - no symptoms! My actual symptoms started around 18-20DPO with sore breasts/nipples (OUCH!!) and queasiness. Nausea/vomiting started at 6 weeks gestation. Fatigue just hit me like a truck two weeks ago at 8 weeks.
I may have had some sensitivity to smells, but it was very short lived in the beginning. Now it's in full swing!
I didn't really have any symptoms till 10DPO (12 day LP). My boob tenderness didn't disappear like it normally would and I started to get some crampy aches / pains.
It's extremely early to having implantation bleeding at 2 and 3 dpo. Is there anyway your timing could be off?
I don't want to burst your bubble, but I had all of these symptoms before my last period. I was convinced I was pregnant because of the timing, but I was just getting sick and started my period early. That could be another explanation
period cramps, for sure.
i felt like i was about to start my period for about four days. after it didn't come, i knew something was up and took a test.
the fatigue, nipple soreness, and everything else did not come until after that.
I had diarrhea for about 4 days straight but I felt perfectly fine. I knew something had to be up because I was eating different foods everyday and I wasn't sick! I eventually looked it up to see if it could be a symptom and sure enough it was and I tested a few days later!
I was constipated on 7-8 DPO (never happens) and had cramping from 9DPO on. Breast soreness and extreme hunger didn't hit until until I was 5 weeks pregnant (21 DPO).

@Mrs Green Grass: maybe my ovulation day is off? i'm just going by what fertility friend told me. It was based on my OPK but my temps didn't match up so maybe I ovulated sooner?
@misskoala: I was thinking that but I don't get breast tenderness, especially nipple tenderness and I've looked over my charts and I've never spotted this early so who knows! But thanks for your suggestion, I'm trying not to get my hopes up!
My earliest ones were bloating, fatigue, frequent urination, cramping and breast tenderness. Nausea and heightened sense of smell came not too long after.
Breast soreness for me was the big one. I spent the weekend before implantation (Monday) not wearing a bra. I went to an event with friends where my breasts hurt so bad that I can still remember that. I know that I implanted on a Monday because I had a tiny spot of blood seen during work. I didn't test until Wednesday thinking it was a longshot, but sure enough, it was a faint line then. It only got darker on the weekend from there.
@sarahmc521: According to FF, of all charts that experience spotting soon after ovulation (2-4 DPO), 26% are pregnant, 57% are ovulatory, 4% end in miscarriage, and 10% are anovulatory. All you can really do at this point is wait. Don't phantom symptoms SUCK?
Do you have a chart we can look at?
I had like one day around 8 or 9DPO where one nipple hurt. Around that time I was also getting super tired all the time, super bitchy, and my sense of smell heightened A LOT. The only one that was really unusual for me was the smell.
Sara - Hmmmmmm. Your chart is throwing me off a bit. Based on temps alone, I would say that you O'ed on CD 10 or 11, but OPKs are the best indicator - you would not have gotten two + tests after O... Unfortunately I think all you can do is wait. I am also 6 DPO, so we can wait together!
I actually had more symptoms when I was not pregnant (sore boobs, fatigue, nausea) but the one sign I had never experienced in my life was yellow tinged CM...TMI I know but it was the only thing that was strange. No odor or anything like that so I have no idea what it was. I did, however have about 30-60 seconds of a sharp twinge on one side near ovaries around 10dpo...It's possible this stuff could all be coincidental but I got my BFP.
@septcabride: I know, I don't know what's going on with my chart, I wasn't sure if I should rely more on my temps or the OPKs. I guess I'll have to just wait and see! Thanks so much for all your help! Good luck and keep me posted!!
@Bao: That's funny you say that, because I noticed a yellow tint to my CM for a couple days, could just be a coincidence, but maybe not. Thanks for your input!
My cycle has been irregular since i lost my daughter on 3/6/11. My fh and husband and I figured we would try again in April the month of our wedding. I went to the doctor in December to see what I can do about my irregular cycle, the dr. said he would start me on clomid to regulate my cycle and see when I am ovulating. Well the week of 1/12/11. I noticed more cm and knew we had made love that week. I figured since I knew i was ovulating that week that my periiod should come the 27th of January. I had extreme breast and nipple pain, I got a dollar tree test a faint line came up. I ran to Target and got a digi, low and hold I am pregnant! fh ASKED IF i HAD ANY SYMPTOMS only the nipple pain and sense of smell. We are excited and are planning to have a cerclage put in sometime in late March or early April.
@tuscanybride12: i'm sorry for your loss last year, but congratulations on your BFP last month! thanks for you input, it seems breast/nipple tenderness is the #1 earliest sign
All I had were cramps like AF was coming for her visit. And I was über emotional. Then I waited around all day for AF to show and low and behold she never came for a visit! Yay! Lol
I didn't realize it was a symptom at the time but I felt like I was getting sick and I was very emotional.

I'm only on CD18 and 5DPO but I've experienced spotting at 2 and 3 DPO (maybe implantation bleeding?) and since 2DPO I've had extremely sensitive nipples (sorry TMI... I warned you!). I know it's early so maybe I'm just thinking too much into it, but I'm wondering what early pregnancy symptoms some people experience first hand. What were some of your earliest pregnancy symptoms and when did you experience them? I know symptoms vary with each person, but I'm just wondering what everyone has experienced.
