Don't phrase it like eloping--that implies you'r;e running away. Tell them you're going on vacation and you're going to get married while you're there. In a private and intimate ceremony. Same thing...just sounds nicer. Tell them their blessing would be nice and invite them along
thats a good idea. We were planning on inviting them but wasnt sure if they would come. I kno my parents wont be there since my mom works all week and has one day off and my dad is a caretaker for my grandfather so i want his parents to be there in spirit for my parents that wont. Thanks for ur advice!

so my fiance and i are going to Easter at his dad's house (his parents are divorced) and will be telling them about us eloping. The thing is i dont know exactly how to bring it up to them about us wanting to elope so i need some help bringing it up to them.
Im kind of scared to bring it up since his mom's reaction was something that i was surprised with and im afraid that they might have the same reaction. I know that this is what we want but i want there apporval and i want them to be there if they can for not me but for my fiance.
