What a cute idea! Those are some good songs that I haven't seen listed for F/D dances, too. Thanks for sharing!
My friend and her Dad danced to "In My Life" by the Beatles. It's a great option as well for those who are having a hard time with this decision. It's rough to pick just the right song for this!
I just did this for my dad also, I'm anxious to see what he chooses!

Hey Hive,
I just made a CD of father-daughter dance songs for my dad to pick from... I thought some of you might like the idea, especially if you live far from your family like I do. I did the father-daughter song research, chose 5 songs that I liked, and then burned an audio CD of them for my dad. I decorated the disc with sharpies, but if you want to go big, you could design one of those CD labels that you can print. I hope he appreciates the gesture (he's kind of a big softie), and it gives him the chance to choose the song, without me being afraid that he'll pick "Daddy's Little Girl" or something (no offense to those who like that song, I just don't like it.) I put these ones on the CD:
- The Way You Look Tonight - Sinatra
- Wildflowers - Tom Petty
- Father and Daughter - Paul Simon
- You've Got a Friend - Carole King
- How Sweet it Is (To Be Loved by You) - James Taylor
Anyway, it occurred to me that it's one of the few things I've done that I'm *not* stealing from weddingbee, so I thought I'd put it out there in case it helps anyone.
