i bought a pack of clear easy peel address lables and i was having trouble getting the text centered on the label. my FI looked at it and we realized that the little tab that makes the labels ‘easy to peel’ is throwing the template off and making everything off centered. has anyone had this problem? it looks like this tab is suppose to come off but yet, i can’t get it off.
ps. only use these ‘clear’ labels on white paper. seriously, not even on light paper bag colored stationary.

I used Avery clear labels on light blue and silver envelopes. I used both address and return address labels. You could see the label a bit, but I thought it looked fine. Printing wasn’t too difficult. I found that if I started right at the edge of the template sometimes it wouldn’t be quite lined up. I tried both centering the text and adding one space before each line, both ways fixed the problem.

@AB Bride: The only think I didn’t do was mess with the margains. I think that will solve it, because that tab isn’t coming off! lol.

I don’t know what brand of easy peel you bought, but I have bought the avery ones and the tab doesnt come off. The easy peel part is just that the backing comes off in sections, so it leaves a label edge to grab onto. I hate getting stuff lined up on labels though. Have you tried using mail merge? Good luck!

@missapis: Thank you! I was totally thinking I was crazy! I will try the mail merge tonight!
I’m wondering if it isn’t a better idea the re-print the stupid response cards now. but I spent $12 on those stupid labels. they are getting used!
