I recently posted a thread about deciding to start eating more chicken for health reasons & for about the past 2 weeks I’ve been putting that into action. Hubby & I have been eating at home a lot more, and we have been cooking mostly chicken, as an alternative to beef. At first, I really thought it would be horrible, and I would get burnt out really fast, but I’m happy to report that it has been easier than I thought & I’m actually loving it!
Along with eating a lot more chicken, I have also cut WAY down on processed sugar & bread, & started eating more vegetables.
For the last 3 weeks, I have been exercising at a place that provides a very low-impact workout using robotic exercise or “toning tables” instead of basic gym equipment. They measured me 3 weeks ago when I started, and I got measured again today.
I HAVE LOST A TOTAL OF 2.25 INCHES AND 1.25 INCHES OF THAT WAS IN MY LOWER BELLY!!!!! YAY!!!!
I have also lost 3 lbs! That doesn’t sound like alot, but I can definately tell I have lost in my belly because my jeans feel a lot better.
I just wanted to share this with you all, especially any ladies that want to lose some inches 🙂

Woooo hoo! go you! I am on a weight loss journey myself after a knee surgery weight gain. I lost 2 lbs this week and I was very excited, so I know how you feel!

Yes, even a couple of lbs can make a difference! I’m sure trying to lose weight after a surgery is not the easiest thing to do! Good job & good luck on your journey too 🙂

YaY!!! Congrats!!! I’m glad it’s been working for you! I LOVE CHICKEN! So I could probably swing that pretty easily 🙂 I just have to make sure I get on a regular work-out schedule. I’m so glad this has worked for you! I may just give it a shot, thanks for the inspiration!!

Im soo jealous about those toning tables! I want to try one so bad! Can you imagine the day when elipticals and treadmills are out and were all in a room vibrating on a little stand lol!

Congrats! I started up my new gym regimen on January 1st, and now need to focus on my diet. I never really ate red meat in the first place, or a ton of meat in general, but I think chicken is a great way to get some good protein and feel full. Will definitely try this starting this week. Congrats again, and keep up the great work!

Thanks so much everyone! Words of encouragement always help!
@ MsBrew – I TOTALLY underestimated the toning tables until I did a free trial one day with my friend. It wore me out! LOL.
@ JanieLeigh – I know what you mean about red meat, but if you focus on the health risks associated with it, it’s a lot easier to let go of!
@ October – good luck! I’m glad I’ve inspired you to eat more chicken!
I need one of those chick-fil-a signs with the cow holding up the sign that says “Eat More Chicken” 😛
