How often do you eat with your spouse?
I like to, but it doesn’t always work out. Today, Darling Husband was supposed to be home by 5:30ish. Then I got a call that it would be later. I waited even though I was hungry. Then I got another call that it would be even later, so I caved and heated up dinner!

When we live together (long distance), we always eat together. We’ve always been on very similar schedules and we really like cooking and eating together as a family with our daughter so we make the effort.
If he wasn’t going to be home on time though, I would totally be eating a snack, because I like to eat regularly!

We eat together for every breakfast & every dinner. In the morning we are on the same schedule. I wish he’d be able to get home earlier because I get stuck eating a lot later than I’m used to. But we love our dinners together.

Every night. We work at the same place and get home at the same time, so that makes it pretty easy for us. 😉 Every once in a great while we don’t, but it’s pretty rare.

We eat breakfast and dinner together. Sometimes he works late, but for the most part we are always eat together.

We eat together every night, unless one of us is out with friends or has something really unusual come up at work, and even then, we try to sit at the table together even if just one person is eating or we’re just having a glass of wine. No phones/computers/TV, maybe some music. We were both raised with the idea that mealtimes are special family time, the best part of the day! When he had weird hours at night, we made sure we had breakfast together every day instead. I know a couple who work opposite schedules so they meet each other for lunch every day.

We eat dinner together everyday, and all meals together on the weekends.

We eat together often even though he doesn’t get home until 9 pm. This schedule is new so we are still trying to adjust but now that I’m PG I’m going to have to start eating alone about 3 days a week just to try and stay on a good eating schedule and get to bed a little earlier than usual.

We eat dinner together every night (unless one of us is traveling, of course). I really like it – we sit down at the table, use cloth napkins, and eat a real meal and then clean up the kitchen together. It is really really nice. I think it’s a good foundation for a family.
We don’t eat breakfast together (he has to be off to work a bit earlier than I do, I prefer eating a bit later, and he likes his alone time to catch up on internets). However, we do make the bed together every morning, and that is awesome. He doesn’t care about the bed being made, but he does care about making me happy, and it’s a great reminder of that every morning. I so appreciate it (my love language is acts of service).

We eat dinner together every night. I have dinner ready and on the table by the time he gets home at 5:30 every night, and him and our son and I eat dinner together at the table every night. I’m able to do so because I work from home on a slightly earlier schedule then him, so I get off work at 4:00 pm, which gIves me plenty of time to make dinner.

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
We have family dinner (Mr. LK, teen LK, and I) every single night, except when Mr. LK has his accupuncture appointment once every other week.

@AB Bride: pretty much every day

Rarely… maybe once or twice a week? We work opposite schedules and I like to eat a lot earlier than he does. Plus I try to eat healthy and he could eat a frozen pizza or hot dogs every night of the week (and occasionally does). We do have dinner with my parents once every other week though and usually he tries to cook for me at least once a week.

Two or three days a week. Otherwise he works afternoons/nights and I work days, so he’s gone to work when I get home.

I’m jealous of all you guys! Darling Husband doesn’t even come home every night, sometimes it just makes more sense for him to stay in a hotel. There were periods of time where my schedule was odd. Now that it’s normal, I try to eat with him and will snack if I know ahead of time he’ll be home for a late dinner.
At least it’s much more often now that he actually lives with me during the week! We lived apart for a while.
