Yeah, ebay is pretty strict about following policy, they have a 1 scam you're out rule! So yay that ebay is helping you (they'll probably throw in a $25 gift certificate too). But I hope you can find some cute shoes in time!
I had that happen to me too. The seller said my item was simply lost in the mail!
What kind of shoes are you looking for?
**Zappos is amazing and they have fast shipping and easy returns.
Dont worry, atleast its JUST the shoes.. now you will just have to search and search.
& the gift card sounds good!
So glad Ebay is helping you recoup your money. What a disappointment! Don't lose faith in Ebay though, there are plenty of dependable sellers out there!
Yeah, I like Zappos, we are doing a couple of different segments of our e-pics. I'm a photographer, so I had some really specific things in mind, and was able to find another photographer (who I love love love to death) who is super creative and game for anything.
Pt. 1 of our engagement shoot is black and red - sort of a retro/vintage vibe, with antique cameras and books, he's wearing suspenders and a fedora, and I have a black w/white polka dot dress to wear, with a red cardigan.
Pt. 2 is an indie rock themed shoot, with t-shirts from fullbleed, converse shoes, paintbrushes, a bit more grungy and modern, tones of grey with splashes of color.
Pt. 3 is modern and traditional, a lot softer, peaches and brown tones for clothes and such.
The shoes I lost out on were red converse shoes - so...not a tough one to find a replacement for, fortunately. I got the shoes for the other parts of the shoot far enough in advance that I don't have to worry about them! :)
I wouldn't mind that $25 gift cert. either...
@Miss Pinot Grigio: I am am a huge eBay fan, this incident has just caused me to have more confidence in ebay themselves, that they're making sure I get my money back. In 4 years on ebay (and my Mother having been on for 10 years...) this is the first scam, so they definitely have a good track record!
Ughhh some people!
I hope everything goes smooth with the refund and you find a pair of shoes asap! Like someone else said, try Zappos, from my experiences they have amazing customer service, free overnight shipping and VERY easy returns.
Thanks! I'll post pictures after. I've got lots of fun stuff coming up to share - dress shopping in a week and a half, e-pics in two weeks...as well as cake tasting, venue tours. Yippie! :D

Sorry, there are no users yet.
I am probably one of the most cautious online shoppers ever, I never buy from an ebay seller unless they have 100+ feedback, and 99-100% positive. And yet despite this...I got scammed on a pair of shoes I purchased for my e-pics. :-(
Ebay is taking good care of me, and ensuring I get a refund...but now I have to find another pair at a reasonable price for my pictures in three weeks. Grrrr...so frustrating. I wish I could even share the seller name for you guys to avoid, but when I went to check on the status of my order, I was told that they were no longer a registered ebay user.
Nice, right?
Just had to rant for a minute.
