- Wedding: May 2015
Alright everyone. After a not so great salon experience and then realizing I did not have the money to fly off island to go to another salon I decided to bite the bullet and purchase my dress online. I love ebay. I get a LOT of things from there and I pretty much consider myself a savvy ebay shopper. However to say I was terrified to purchase my dress online would be an understatement. So I did lots and lots of research.
My first attempt was a puchase of a Maggie Sotero Divina in white. The seller had fantastic reviews and the only negative ones were about their shipping time (which I don’t really care about considering I’m not getting married until May 2015). So I went ahead and won an auction for ~$60. They responded immedietly, I sent them my measurements and everything was all set! ..Skip to 3 weeks later. Apparently their ebay page was shut down O__O. I’m not sure if eBay did it or the seller did it themselves but I contacted eBay and they refunded my money immedietly. I closed ebay to open my paypal…and the refund was there. Amazing. Fantastic service. But I still had to continue the hunt.
It was a blessing in a way that the Divina dress didn’t go through. My venue reception venue changed and now my entire wedding would be on the beach. No way I would have been able to suffer through an afternoon in the Divina in that heat. So I found another gown from another seller. I don’t know what designer this dress is but I loved the picture so I went with it. Seller had 100% positive feedback and all they sold were dresses, petticoats for dresses, and veils. I purchased the dress, sent measurements and waited. About 2.5 weeks later I got another message stating that my dress was ready to ship. Their shipping (which was free btw) was fantastic. It got to me in maybe 5 days. FROM CHINA. My package from Jersey shipped out before my dress..and I still haven’t gotten the package. My sister picked up the package for my job as I was by my fiance. She sent me a picture.. This blurry I don’t know what I’m looking at picture, I didn’t know what to think . My mother assured me that it was wonderful. The waiting was killing me and I finally came back home today and tried it on. It fits like a glove. Absolutely stunning. And it looks so much like the stock photo.
My dress (please ignore the mess and I have no idea why the pics are uploading horizontal .__. )
The Back They just stuck the remaining ribbon into the back of the dress. That’s why the laceup looks a bit odd.
