Haha...I don't know about 'strong'. He only really was okay with me picking the ring if he could have 100% surprise factor in everything else, so I can't really complain.
@love108: not a hard timeline. One of the conditions is that I don't know WHEN he buys it or WHEN/WHERE I get it. He could buy it now and keep it for a year for all I know. But like I said, I got to pick it out, so whenever I do get it, I know it'll be perfect. And I talk like I know this is the one I'm getting, even though he hasn't said so yet, because all the others I tried on do not even COMPARE. It was like, I put it on and that was it, I just didn't want to look anymore. I couldn't even give him a top 3, the next two were just so low compared to this one lol
Well, this is exciting! I just had a similar situation tonight - he said "plans [for my favorite ring] are in motion..." and now it's killing me... did he put a down payment on it? Ahhhhh!

So, SO and I found what we think is THE ring, but had some questions for the jeweler, which we wrote done. So, he goes to call and starts walking into the other room with the notepad and pen and I'm like "Uhm, aren't you going to call out here?" 4/5 of the questions were mine. "Well, how about I go talk and just take notes for you?" "okay..." He also said he had some questions that he didn't want me to hear!
So, he's been locked in the bedroom for nearly half an hour on the phone.
I've got the TV up in the front room where I am so I don't try to listen in. It is SO hard being good....
