Was coming down the stairs and saw a little brown mouse dash across the floor heading straight for the shoe rack in the corner of the room!!!
I didn’t know what to do so closed the door to the hallway and am now sitting my feet off the floor and keeping an eye on the door so the mouse doesn’t try and come into the living room. Anyone’s got any advice? I feel very useless right now…
The little mouse is probably curled up in one of my shoes right now making a little nest for itself.

Yikes! Has it came out yet?

Haha you need my cat! He’s a serious mouse hunter. We don’t have any mice (an accomplishment for an urban Boston 1st floor apartment!) because of him. He killed one about a year ago, and still stands watch…!

I bought some of those sticky mouse traps and caught both mice that were here when I moved in! My Fiance had to put them outside though because I was afraid they would bite me. lol

A cat! I’ve been trying to convice Fiance to get a cat for ages but he’s stubbornly resisting, this is the perfect excuse. Surely he’ll realise I can’t fend off domestic invader rodents on my own, I definitely need a teensy cute little furball kitten.

Mice are wickedly cute and relatively harmless. Getting a cat to murder them is kind of extreme, isn’t it? Besides, most shelters won’t release an animal to someone who only wants it for mousing.
Catch the mouse and put it in a cage and feed it and love it and name it “Mittens”!

We used to live in an oooooooold apartment buidling with LOTS of palm trees near by. I started hearing “things” in the walls. I know my cat was hearing things too, but FH said that he didn’t hear anything.
Lo and behold, one normal, average day, I go to use the bathroom, I finish, walk out and my cat has caught a huge rat!!!! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!
And I am completely disguted and scared of rats. I called FH to come home to clean it up and I fled the apartment!
So, a cat can come in handy. Plus they’re cute and make good little companions. 🙂
