Are eggplant colored tablecloths really this hard to find?  I've looked all over Austin for eggplant (true eggplant - deep dark purple, almost black) tablecloths to rent and can't find ANY!

And now of course, since I talked my fiance into them, he doesn't want to even talk about changing the color of linens to something easier to find.

Any suggestions bees?  I've seen some of the places online that you can rent from afar...has anyone tried this with a good outcome?

Or would anyone be interested in going in with me to buy some?  I found them online, but they're a BIT high for me to own 15 of these bad boys...HELP!  I've run out of ideas.

You may have to purchase it.  I suggest you look online (if you have time) if not go to a local fabric store and see what you can find.  Worse case, you have to pay for it all on your own.  However you can always resell it after the wedding.

Good luck and let us know what you decide to do.

Have you tried Marquee Rents? (they are located off of 183)

Eggplant is in our color scheme also and we are renting some linens from them.

Perhaps you could look for the perfect fabric at a fabric store & find someone to make them... that might be cheaper! They might have local craft boards at the fabric store, so they might be able to point you in the right direction to help you find someone to help you sew them.

Thanks for the helpful advise bees!

e.louise - I will DEFINITELY check out marquee rentals - I had looked online and didn't see the color I was looking for, but maybe seeing it in person is the key - THANK YOU!
