I adore Elbow and plan on using One Day Like This as my processional. I have a friend in England who told me a friend of hers used it as a first dance song.
Do you think it’s appropriate for a processional? I’m thinking my 2 bridesmaids/flower girls will make it down the aisle at our outdoor deck ceremony with plenty of time for me to walk during the dramatic bits.
A little googling has it used for ‘when you sign the register’ and I have no idea what that means 😉

@thewheelsonthebus: Signing the register is when after you’re married at the end of the service you then sign your wedding licence. I’ve just listened to the song and I think the tune is very suitable I just wonder though, when the singing kicks in whether it will suit you walking down the aisle as the pace of the song slows.

DO IT! DO IT!! It’ll be beautiful.
(I adore Elbow. I’ve seen them live here in L.A. about 3 times. One of the best shows I’ve ever been to was when they opened up for Doves.)
