Elevated TSH in very early pregnancy?

@laaiinn:  yep! Not too uncommon and your numbers really aren’t too bad. Mine were over 5 and even then my doctor said it wasn’t a huge deal. I was put on synthyroid and had my levels rechecked at 0.41 🙂 no side effects either… One pill in the am and done! Not to worry 🙂

@laaiinn:  it’s so natural to worry 🙂 yes, you will be on it through your pregnancy … Once your levels are rechecked they can keep you on the same dose or adjust accordingly. My dr actually hinted that id probably be on it indefinitely. It’s really very common and not a huge concern, the meds are easy peasy and I felt better on them than wen I wasn’t ! 🙂

Just my opinion, but I would have it checked again before starting the medication. One very slightly raised reading means nothing.
