Unfortunately with bead work you’re either looking at spending very little and gambling on quality, or spending a lot to guarantee quality.

Have you thought about maybe subbing the beadwork for some nice, (heavy, not the thin cheap stuff) gold lace overlays? A pink/champagne tulle with some gold or champagne lace around the waist, tapering off into the skirt and bodice could be really nice.

Don’t get so committed to an exact replica that you are unwilling to entertain other ideas. I think if you capture the spirit of the dress you’ll be good. There are a ton of dressmakers on Etsy who’ll gladly take on the project.

stargurl101:  I understand. My dress is being made for me from abstract ideas. There’s a sketch, but I have to see an actual dress to know 100%. But I’ve seen all the fabrics and they’re lovely. But really, there are dress makers who’d rise to the challenge of coming up with something perfect for you, and often are less than boutique dresses. Mine will cost less than $500.
