So I think we’re pretty sure that we are going to elope. I just can’t decide how I want to do things. I don’t really want to go the courthouse to get married. I’d rather just have someone marry us in a pretty location, just us two there and the photographer. But I’m having trouble finding somewhere that I really like.
I found this beautiful chapel but it’s expensive imo for only two hours it’s $1000 Sunday-Friday.
I found another chapel, that’s closer to us, and less expensive but has less of a “wow” factor. This would be $350 for 2-3 hours during the week.
And then ofcourse, we could always find a pretty spot in a park or garden like Loose Park.
Then I can’t decide what we should do afterwards, since we’re not having a reception. Any ideas?
Here are some of my inspiration pics.
I love this video of this couple getting ready to marry at city hall.

My guy and I are planning to elope as well. I think you could have your ceremony then go to a nice lunch or fancy dinner, picnic or somewhere very special to you both.Let the restaurant know it is your wedding day…I am sure they will be very accomodating. Maybe find a beautiful hotel to spend your honeymoon night then have a private dinner just the two of you? Play your favorite song on Ipod or something and dance together, cut a small cake, pop champagne….? Alot of possibilities.

Your inspiration pictures are beautiful. My husband and I eloped with a few family members in a bed and breakfast in St. Augustine. Afterwards we went out to dinner in downtown. We all stayed for the weekend, which made it so romantic and fun for us. I see you live in Missouri, so I don’t know if my suggestions are even helpful.
I like the chapel idea. Maybe a horse and carriage ride afterwards? That’s one of the things that we did.
