Hi All,
My husband and I eloped in Savannah, GA and wanted to pass along a few of our recommendations.
Reverend Steve Shulte, http://www.savannahgaweddings.com/, rocked our socks off. He was available on short notice, customized our ceremony, charged a very reasonable rate, is super cute annnnd wears awesome clothes. He wore a blue and white seersucker suit and suede shoes for our ceremony. He really put us at ease, and wrote a very powerful ceremony for us. (~170)
Denise Gonsales Photography, http://denisegonsales.com/, was awesome. She showed up on time, was super friendly, brought a bonus seperate shooter, had great recommendations for photo locations and poses (and wasn't afraid to pose us, which was awesome). She was available on a short notice and took beautiful photographs, also very affordable. (~300/two hour shoot). She also gives you print rights to all of your photos- we couldn't have been more pleased.
La Bella Nail Salon- my husband and I went and got a mani/pedi (he didn't get his nails painted
) before the wedding. This nail salon is very clean, has great polishes, and they do a top of the line job. I nearly had to pick the boy up off the floor at the end of it- he was so relaxed! I also really enjoyed it. They were meticulous about cleanliness, which is a big deal for me. It was a little expensive, but a safe bet for a strange city. (~100 for mani/pedis for two)
We stayed at the Planter's Inn, which was also awesome- they bumped us up to the top floor, and we got a complimentary champagne/fruit tray when they realized we were getting hitched. It's also a beautiful hotel- they have a very mediocre continental breakfast, very good coffee, wine and cheese in the lobby in the evenings. It has a great location, and they offer valet parking. The rooms had great light and were very classic looking, perfect for photography.
Please let me know if I can answer any more questions or give any more reviews.
