Agreed, I'm really glad that you're doing what you want! I loved all the details and the planning and the freaking out, haha, but I totally understand it's not for everyone!
Congratulations! I wish I had the guts to do it. Stick to your guns, and do what makes you happy!
Way to go girl! although I don't regret having a wedding. I was at a point during the planning where I just about had it and was going to run away with DH. LOL! I think Eloping is fun and romantic! Congrats
I eloped and for me it was the best decision my DH and I made about the wedding. We still talk about it months later with zero regrets and we are able to look back at a calm relaxing time that was just between the two of us.
AMEN to that!! LOL.. this is EXACTLY what happend to me,,we had always talked about eloping but the minute I sarted to think I wanted a wedding I just got on here and within an hour of being overwhelmed with posts I said.."Nope..lets ELOPE!!" ..and I CANT WAIT!! (0=
Very awesome. Weddingbee has made me realized that eloping was the best idea for us as well. I'm very excited about it. =)
Congrats! It's not and easy decision, but I give you props for doing what will make you guys happy!
AWESOMENESS!
I have to agree w/you, I've always wanted a wedding, but the more I see about what bees go through to plan makes me think twice. A friend who recently got married and had a small wedding even told me "elope. It's not worth it." lol.
I am SOOOOOOOOO close to feeling the exact same way. I'm worried that I will regret the decision though! AHHH I wish I could be as confident as you! Go you!
@Jamiezilla: Thanks - it might not be confidence though. It could be a bad thing. It could be a blatant disregard for what others want/think/care about
Which is a blessing and a curse.
I don't want to deal with a wedding, I don't care if I hurt feelings (I mean I care a little bit but not that much), I don't care if people are disappointed, I just don't!
*steps up on soap box and shouts with as much sophistication as possible*
"Eff IT!"

I always thought I would want a big wedding - that I would be ok spending a ton of my own money and even my parents money for the big day. I've always known weddings were a lot of work for 100 different reasons but after lurking on Weddingbee for over a month now, I've come to realize....
HELL NO.
The details, the money, the venue, the guestlist, people getting pissed, stressing myself out. Just look at the boards menu - LOOK AT ALL THAT STUFF THAT COMES UP!
No. I can't. I simply will not do it. I want to thank Weddingbee because this actually made me realize eloping was the path for us before I even got bogged down by wedding things. Thanks everyone :) *cheers* TO ELOPING!
