Hi Bees - I'm trying to find out what is the correct way of placing an email address or wedding website on an RSVP card.  Should it even be placed on the card?  Thanks for your responses.

Curious to hear replies of others.

We put ours on our Save the Dates.  It just said 'For more information visit...."

We plan on using our website for RSVP so on the actual invitation it will probably say:

please RSVP at __________ by ______date

Do you want people to RSVP online?  If not, then I don't think the email or website should be on the RSVP card.

We are also planning to include our wedding website on the RSVP card so that they can RSVP online at the site. Those who are still not internet computer savy i have a separate card RSVP card with stamped envelope to send back.  Not only its convieniant but saves some money on stamps.

    Hi, "CaribbeanBee",

I am pushing 70 and an etiquette snob. I happen to think offering your friends and family the option of replying by e-mail is considerate and perfectly correct -- more correct, in fact, than relying R.s.v.p. cards which I remember perfectly well from the 1970's as being a innovation of the nouveau-riche and not really "proper, dahling". At least with e-mail, no one who doesn't routinely write letters has to carry that little envelope around in her purse trying to remember to stop next time she drives past a letter-box. Incidentally, my brother who is ten years older than I am routinely communicates by e-mail too. These days it's getting hard to find even a senior citizen, at least a non-senile one, who doesn't.

Of course, hating R.s.v.p.'s as I do, I'd just put the email address on the invitation itself right under the "R.s.v.p." -- which is where Amy Vanderbilt back in the 1950's recommended you put the phone number of your social secretary. It must have been nice to have a social secretary to follow up your R.s.v.p.'s for you!
