So, me and my sisters (my bms) went to a local used bridal shop and tried on a few gowns. One i really loved was a classic a line with nice details and white embroidery.
My sister emails me and she foud this dress on ebay that has a similar shape, but different designs and it looked at first glance to be silver embroidery. According to the details, the embroidery has discolored-causeing a muti-tone look
She got excited and says she wants to try and buy it for me-but it’s discolored! Won’t it look odd?Is the seller mistaken, is that dress just multi-colored or dirty?
I have budget of $400, and I didn’t like anything from Alfred Angelo, David’s Bridal, or our local used bridal store.I’m thinking about ordering from KissBridal on ETSY, but I hate not being able to see it before i buy- hence why this ebay dress thing has me worried.
On the other hand, if the dress looks fine, i just scored an awsome gift from my sister.

@MissFireFlower: It’s hard to tell from the photos, but it looks OK to me. But at that price it’s probably worth it anyway. Then if it turns up and it’s no good, no real harm done and hopefully you’ll be able to sell it on.

I vote to give her a low budget, see if she can get it, and if you need to, resell it. The embroidery looks awfully pretty to me.

The embroidery looks yellow on the train. I wouldn’t buy it. Can you speak to the Etsy seller and see what her return policy is? This way, you can buy the dress you like, sans discoloration, and return it if you don’t like it in person?

bad feedback on ebay. NO NO NO

At $11, it’s not too bad of a price. Why not try if you can get it for super cheap?

If you can get it cheap enough, it probably wouldn’t hurt…currently it’s under $12. At the very least, you can donate it to the Good Will if it doesn’t work out.

The embroidery looks blue to me. But for $12, it’s worth a look i guess. That’s nothing!

I told her no. I’m too scared :X

get some more detailed pics. you can ask the buyer for more. and ask if it is yellowing on the train, becasue i dont see that on my monitor. ask if it is just slightly different shades of silver or if there are any other colours that are being shown. if they answer they have to tell you or you can get your money back.

Did you get it? Doesn’t look like the bids went too high…$30-ish.

I probably would have done it if it were the right size!
