This is meant to be comical. Emma Roberts, Julia Roberts niece, was arrested a while back for a domestic violence incident. Apparently she messed up her bf’s face pretty badly but was released after questioning. Well, she is newly engaged to the same man. I mean there’s still hope for us all. He could forgive getting a whooping by a girl who could be no more than 110 lbs. That’s a forgiving man.

Ha! Now get in the kitchen and make me a sandwhich!

@fainavach1992: Hahaha, wonder what the heck they were fighting about?

I cannot laugh about a domestic violence situation, no matter the circumstances, and no matter the outcome of police questioning. And yes, police often DO release batterers – it’s mandatory arrest, not mandatory charges. It is absolutely not unusual for a victim of DV to not press charges against a batterer. And no, the fact that she is smaller than him, or female, does not make it okay, or funny.

@fainavach1992: Wow this is in really bad taste and completely inline with the double standards common on this site.

I don’t think domestic violence is ever funny, sorry.

I’m gonna sound like a stick in the mud but…. This…. I am not ok with.
domestic violence happens across genders, races, sexual orientations , ages and creeds.
abuse is a very easy trap to fall into and very hard to get out of …. There is no such thing as Olny once.
gets off soap box*

Yep. DV is not funny. DV against anyone, male or female, is not a joke.

It’s cute how some people can make light of a very serious issue.
I don’t care if you’re 110 pounds or 260. Striking anyone without the explicit intention of saving their life is never a laughing matter. Domestic abuse isn’t funny, and if you find it funny, you have some serious soul searching to do.
If the roles were reversed, everyone would be fucking pissed, telling the woman she shouldn’t be with an abusive asshole.
But I guess it’s okay because she’s little and a woman. Double standards make me sick.

Wth I didn’t know she was dating Evan Peters. Poor fella, wonder why they’re still together… Though after googling they were supposedly “hitting each other” .confused..

This is going to be a hollywood marriage that burns out very quickly. But I love both of them in Coven.

@Hyperventilate: Right on. Violence is violence.

@fainavach1992: perhaps your wording was a bit distasteful but I know that wasnt your intent. I get you are saying that “they survived this and are still engaged so we all have hope to” I just think your disclaimer of this is meant to be comical rubbed PP wrong. just a mere choice of unfortunate diction.
& deep down you arent (im hoping !!) that person that thinks DV is funny at the hands of a small girl, but just in case you are…then the PP addressed that.
in regards to waiting, best of luck to you and yours. hope you get your proposal soon OP
