I don’t know about that stuff but I just wanted to say I hope everything works out for you.

DancerBee:  I’m sorry you’re dealing with this emotionally difficult situation. I understand those feelings. At my 6 week ultrasound there wasn’t even a sack, so I hope this ends better for you and it really is too early. My experience ended in MC shortly after my u/s with hcg numbers plumeting. They told me it might be too early as well to see anything but I had also been using FF and knew when I O’d. I hope your story ends differently than mine but know that if the worst happens there are threads for support here and plenty of bees who have been through it. Thinking of you! {hugs}

I had low numbers to start with, and then a bit of spotting, and my scan only showed an empty sac too. The sonographer put me more than a week behind, even though I was convinced of my dates. I’m now 28 weeks pregnant, and my dates caught up. stay positive, you could have a late implanter.

DancerBee:  I hope the technician is right about it just being too early. Maybe your situation will be like the poster before me. Sorry you’re having to go through this 🙁

DancerBee:  fertility friend is an app, right? So it’s not based on any type of testing? Does the dating of the pregnancy fit with a time when you could have BDed? I think it’s not unusual to have hcg double closer to 72 hours than to 48 hours. I just had a series of ultrasounds to date a pregnancy, and the first of the series was like yours – by LMP, I should have been 6 weeks, pregnancy was a tiny sac that was consistent with a pregnancy under 5 weeks (which fit with ovulation in accordance with OPKs). I was very worried it was a blighted ovum.  Then we just had to wait and do repeat ultrasounds and serum HCG tests every three days and worry and wait etc. etc. It’s been challenging waiting, but baby is measuring on track (with the adjusted dates from the first measurement) and we are now almost 8 weeks with a heartbeat and everything is looking promising. But I am there with you – it is awful to not know what is going in there and to be on the lookout for a miscarriage for weeks and weeks.

I really hope you have better news than I did.  I had a very similar experience, HCG was rising but not doubling. I had a blighted ovum (empty sac) in January 2013, resulting in a D&C in March. However, I got my BFP just two months later and my DD is 7.5m old now.

FX for good news!
