We are not doing either, even though it's FI's first marriage. We are only having one special dance in honor of my parents 50th anniversary. Could you do just one dance and combnine the two instead? Lots of people have done this.
We're not doing either - FI is a newbie, but both of his parents have passed away. I think it would draw more attention if I danced with my dad. So I told my dad he was off the hook ;)
We are however, planning a family dance, where FI dances with my daughter and I dance with my son.
I wish more than anything I could do that.
My dad passed away 10 years ago.
But if he's able physically to attend, I'd love to do a grandfather/grandaughter dance.
No, not doing this... with the pomp and circumstance so to speak. I will dance with my dad though, at the party, we just will not make a big deal of it!

Sorry, there are no users yet.
Of course we are doing the Mother/Son dance as my fiance has never been married, but I'm not sure about Father/Daughter...part of me feels silly doing it again, but I don't want to hurt my dad's feelings or make it akward. Are you doing Father/Daughter dance?
