hi there!

I looked at almost every "historical" venue in the Boston Area.  From what I remember. they were more flexible than the "other" Dedham Mansion but I do not think you could fit 120 in the Ballroom and still have dancing or anything else for that matter. Although if its in the summer/fall months, a tent is definitely an option.  Is your ceremony in Boston? Transportation costs could be high but doable. When it comes to the historic sites, it really depends on what is important to you for the reception. Once you know that they start to weed each other out….

My best friend’s cousin got married there.  I remember her talking about how they were all so crammed in there.  And it was hot.  Haha.  That’s all I remember.  I think it’s very pretty.

I like the Liberty Hotel in Boston and Willowdale Estates in Topsfield.

Holy crap, Edicott is at the top of my list too!!!  Don’t worry though, I’m looking at fall of 2010, not the summer.

I’m actually kind of okay with the idea of splitting people up and moving people around.  I think it’s funky and maybe a little quirky…?  But I can totally understand your hesitation to do so with 120 people.  I don’t know if you can fit that many people in the ballroom comfortably.  It’s not that big…

What about the tent Brideesq suggested?  Is that a possibility for you?  With the grounds at that place, it would be fantastic!
