Congrats on your engagement, so exciting!! I think there's tons of ideas on both the blog and the boards on keeping the cost of your wedding down...just search your topic...Good luck!
Congratulations! You're going to have a blast planning. Just browse around and you'll find lots of helpful, budget friendly ideas!
congratulations!!! there are several military forum for girlfriends/fiances/wives online if you haven't found some already!
Congrats! Will you be able to visit him in Korea? I know, obviously you can't visit in Afghanistan or Iraq, but maybe Korea?
Aw, welcome! I have a friend who spent 2 years in Korea! You can DEFINITELY visit! His FI flew to Korea for Christmas this past year. Save up your vacation time!
Since you're military...ask for discounts! I saved 10% at Lowes over 4th of July by handing over my ID. Saved $60! And we saved $2 per plate at our reception. Not to mention when you mention you're military and your FI is deployed, people are compassionate and willing to work with you. We were unable to do 3 mandatory hour long counseling sessions, but when I told them what was going on, they dropped it to one hour (which we could do) and said no problem.
While my husband was deployed, I DIY'd everything. You have the luxury of time so you really can spend a Friday night crafting and savings lots of money!
Congratulations - you are going to find so many helpful topics to aid you in keeping your budget down...its great!
