I just want to throw myself a little pity party, my FI and I just got engaged 2 weeks ago (!!) but since I am in med school doing my surgical rotation I haven’t been able to wear my ring at all. I am really scared about leaving it in my locker or hanging it around my neck so I have just been leaving it at home. It feels like a bummer to have to show people pictures on my phone instead of feeling like I can wear my ring 🙁
Just wanted the hive to cheer me up…and remind me that I am actually engaged haha.
Here is the ring btw

Your ring is so beautiful and unique! I would wear it around your neck while doing surgicial rotations! I’m sure pictures don’t do it justice at all!!

Thanks! It is waaaaay sparklier than that, but I took it discretely with my cell phone while studying so it didn’t turn out so great haha.

My sister is an OR nurse. When she scrubs in, she safety pins her rings to her bra. Apparently all the girls she works with do the same thing. All her bras have safety pins attached so she never forgets one.

it’s really pretty! just remind yourself how amazing it is that you are going to become a doctor and save people’s lives. Think about not wearing your ring at work as a small sacrifice to pay.

Your ring is amazing!
I am a first year in med school, and I hate having to take mine off for dissections: I had not thought far enough ahead yet to be bummed about taking it off for rotations. I normally wear it on a necklade under my scrubs though 🙂

it’s beautiful!!! And it’s totally okay to wear it around your neck on a very secure chain. My parents are surgeons and did that back when they were on rotation (after having to dig through medical waste a few times, they learned the hard way). Congratulations 🙂
