I did not notice anything different…he acted completely normal. The only thing that was different was that someone was pointing a camera at my face lol. It was Christmas time and I was opening a gift, so I was like OK wth is in this box? haha

He acted the same besides wanting to go to a fancy dinner instead of low key place…the one thing I noticed and didn’t say anything about was a huge box bulge lol

At the time I didnt notice anything out of the ordinary…but looking back I should have known. We were sitting along the lake at sunset and he kept babbling on about kayakers and mosquitos and the weather and hey look at the boat over there 🙂

It was the best moment of my life and it coul dnot have been anymore perfect.

He acted so anxious the week before proposing. He couldnt sit still and was very weirdly protective of his phone.

Immediately before (like in the 10 minutes before) he was acting super weird, but I thought it was because he was sad that he wasn’t with his family for Christmas.  Turns out, he was stalling because his initial plan to pop the question was foiled by me taking way too long to get ready.

I noticed that for a couple weeks, he was EXTRA lovey-dovey. Lots of gazing at me and smiling. I later found out he had bought the ring and wanted to give it to me a few times before his planned “proposal day.”

But day-of, he was beyond totally normal. He hid it so well! We took a day trip, stopped for sandwiches, hiked, etc., and it was all totally, 100% normal. I was even looking for hints of nervousness because I was pretty sure he’d propose that day. Apparently he stays cool under pressure!

my FI kept being mushy and winking at me. It was so odd HAHA! He would say “I love you so much *wink”. “You are beautiful today *wink*”. At one point I even asked him “why do you keep winking at me? are you okay?” He had winked at me in the past once or twice, but it was like a tic! haha! It was very cute.

Nervous seeming, but super affectionate, which he is, but not in public. I don’t know why I didn’t realize that he was going to propose, I should have.  He even had his hand in his pocket a lot and I didn’t realize why.

We were taking pictures with my camera on the timer and he kissed me right before he proposed. He never takes pictures of us kissing because he considers it something private. So I was surprised when he did that. And then he propsed, I realized that’s why he kissed me while the camera was taking pictures. I got the picture of him proposing too. It was awesome.

hahaha, the week before he proposed, anytime my fiance said the word “ring,” even if it had nothing to do with jewelry, he’d have the biggest, goofiest smile on his face!  It was so cute!

He kept telling me he had an “ace in the hole”. I had no idea what he was talking about.

On the day he proposed, I was at the grocery store, and he called me to find out when I’d be home. When I told him I was at the checkout counter. He said “good” and when I asked why he wanted me home (he was supposed to be studying) he wouldn’t answer me.

He was actually kind of annoying me the week leading up to the proposal because he just kept asking all these deep questions and wanting to have lots of long talks (he is not a long deep talker kind of guy). The night before the proposal he actually TURNED OFF the TV because he wanted to talk! I was like who is this guy?

But even with all these signs I had no idea what was coming and was completly shocked!
