I'm finally engaged!! Woohoo :)It happened last Thursday and it was totally the sweet/simple and romantic proposal that I was hoping for. We are probably going to have about a 2 year engagement since I am finishing up my masters degree in April and I want to find a job before I start doing any planning.

Anyways, here is some ring porn! It's a 2.10 carat natural sapphire that was hand picked from Chanthaburi sapphire mine in Thailand by a very close family friend of my fiances. He designed the rest of the setting himself and the halo has .4 carats of conflict free diamonds. Years ago I would have never imagined myself having a sapphire engagement ring but I am so in love with it!

Thank you all for the well wishes :) It is definitely an exciting time and I cannot wait to start planning!

@Miss Sunset: haha thank you!! I have gotten a few Kate Middleton comments! I think people are becoming more accepting of gem stone e- rings because of her :) makes me happy!
