Accidentally put this in the wrong topic, so I’m reposting this here to share my joy with the waiting bees that kept me going for the past year ;)….
My Fiance (love saying that) totally surprised me on Saturday. I thought for sure that we weren’t going to be engaged for months at the very least – turns out he had the ring for four months and was just waiting for the right moment. We had a super romantic day in San Francisco, going to musuems, the Japanese tea garden, walked through Union Square, had a fancy dinner, and then ended up in a lounge looking over the entire city. We had planned to exchange our Christmas cards early so I handed his to him and then he gave me mine. I opened it and read “To my wife…” and while I was puzzling out if he had bought the wrong type of card he was getting down on one knee behind me! I was so shocked that I only remember some of what he said and I have no idea at all what I was saying – but I know there were tears, laughter and a lot of “oh my god really?” The ring is beautiful and my man is perfect….I really had the best Christmas ever!
And of course, a pic of the ring!

Thank you! Didn’t he do a great job picking it out? The only input I had was that I liked simple and classic looks – my Fiance wanted the experience of totally surprising me with the ring so that was all he wanted to know.

Aww that is so freaking sweet that he got you a card that said “to my wife”. I probably would’ve started bawling, haha. Congrats though!
