Lets just say I’m not the most domestic woman out there…i mean, the other morning I screwed up frying eggs 🙁
But! While up at school I made a phenomenal engagement chicken for me and my friend (as a test run) and added a little flare to it (garlic, onions, different seasoning, etc). So my first night back from school I give it a whirl on my SO, make his favorite mashed potatoes, and some asparagus. Everything came out PERFECTLY, and tonight as we drifted to sleep my SO says “that meal was wonderful!” To which I replied “well, I have to be able to make you dinner everyone once in a while” (he knows damn well I can’t cook hardly at all), and he replies “that would be a perfect meal to feed our children!”
I’m beaming…I know it doesn’t really mean much, but I love hearing him talking about our future like that 🙂 Maybe there’s hope afterall 🙂 And yes, he’s passed out next to me in bed while I type on my iPhone like the insane waiting bee that I am 🙂

Oh how sweet!! I love moments like those! 🙂 my SO and I were walking through the shops a few weeks ago and when we walked past a kids clothing store (specifically for little boys) he leaned in and told me that he’d love for us to have a little boy so that they could dress up in super hero outfits together. I couldn’t stop smiling at the thought!
So so happy you! And good work learning how to cook (I’m slowly getting there myself). Now go to sleep and dream about your future children together 🙂

@Miss_Lala: Aw, my SO and I would also really like to have a son together 🙂 Of course we’d be happy just to have a healthy baby in general…but my SO is 6’1 and I’m 5’10, so we’re looking for football players lol

I first read about the engagement chicken a couple of months ago and tossed around the idea of making one, but I cook and bake regularly (its one of my like 3 totally UNmarketable skills in life) so me cooking a chicken probably wouldnt do much toward getting him to pop the Q. He’s used to me making a bunch of food.
And *now* he’s on this ridiculous diet….maybe I could attempt an Engagement Salad?

@badabing88: That is when you make Engagement chicken one day then the rest of the week you make engagement chicken salad. engagement chicken tacos, engagement chicken sandwhich. he will pop the question before it is time to buy more meat!
