You look gorgeous in both but I’m going with the black formal, you look hot, sexy, chic in that dress!
I apologize for the crappy bathroom pictures in advance! I love both and I wanted something really nice. We are getting our pictures done on some railroad tracks in the desert. Not sure if that will make any difference but I do think both would look nice.
What kind of look is the photogrpapher going for with the shots? I think you look gorgeous in both outfits but I’m not sure if they would suit the destination?
go with the strapless – it’s timeless. the navy one is cute, but it’s less formal and verrry trendy. it’s the sort of dress that you might look back on in a few years and wish you’d worn something else. the second dress is classic and you look awesome in it. can’t go wrong 🙂
I think the Navy one lend it self to some fun. I don’t know about you but I would have a harder time mucking up and playing with the camera in a strapless dress and heels. And that’s what the e-shots are for imo.
The navy one will be more flattering and versatile. I normally allow an outfit change in sessions. Why not both?
Have you considered doing a wardrobe change mid-shoot?
That’s what I did.
What is your FI wearing? If he’s not dressing up (formal), I would go with navy blue. But if he will be wearing a suit or something, def the black dress.
I’m looking for my outfit first then his so we can make sure we gel together. I’m thinking of doing some outfit changes, that may be the solution since I’m sooooooo torn between the two. I agree one is more fun and the other timeless, never thought of it that way. I guess I need to make sure I know what I want out of our pictures.
The photographer will be a student, he’s trying to builds up his portfolio and was kind enough to shoot us.
I appreciate all of your comments, happy Thanksgiving!
@NVMox2480: if your photog is inexperienced defo the navy. The black dress is very cute but an inexperienced photog might not have the eye to make that black dress look it’s best. if not exposed correctly that ruffle might just look like one huge butt haha
Can you do both?? If you love both dresses, it would be great if you could do an outfit change during your session! Because one is more casual and one is not, it could give you some great sets with different feels to them.
The red heels win it for me. I vote the black dress. 🙂
