My best friend just got engaged, yippee! Now I have a partner-in-crime for wedding planning ;)
I'd like to get her and her new fiancee a gift (she lives in NY so I'll have to mail it to her). Does anyone have any great engagement gift ideas for a couple?
I always love making a wedding planning binder for people! Take a 3 hole binder, make a cute crafty cover page to put in the plastic front. Load her up with all the nice checklists you've found useful, and lots of divider tabs to keep her organized. I've put these in cute 'Bride' tote bags, and they've love them!
I got a really beautiful Waterford crystal ring holder from my two best friends. Much more for me than FI, but that's okay. It was a great idea, and something that I get a lot of use out of (I refuse to wear my ring while washing dishes, for fear it will fall down the drain).
I've given this wedding Wedding Scrapbook for two friends of mine when they got engaged, one b/c she specifically asked me for it... anyway its really cute and you can order it on Amazon :)
One of my friends got me the Martha Stewart wedding planner, and it has absolutely gorgeous pictures. She also sent me the Real Simple wedding planner/guide - I thought it was a great gift combination (although definitely more for me than for the FH).

There are pages to write about how you met etc and then about the wedding.
