I have them pretty frequently, don't worry about it, its common. Mine generally revolve around me being unprepared, I have shown up at my reception site with no dress, no makeup, you name it. Planning a wedding is so fun right?
I have had dreams about showing up not prepared too! The onese with no food and no programs really got me upset for some reason! I think it's pretty normal and nothing to worry about!
My fiance had a bit of a nightmare about invitations. He said in his sleep that 'there are invitations everywhere! Pieces of cardboard all over!'
I think it's pretty normal. I don't think I've had one since I first got engaged.
I had one just last week where the photographer never showed up, the caterers brought hot dogs instead of what they were supposed to bring, everyone was late, etc. etc.
I have had probably 6 or 7 nightmare wedding dreams in the last 2 months! It's crazy! I'm usually just never prepared or the wedding turns out awful! I don't know why I dream this stuff, I never *think* it in the day time!
I guess it's normal. You have a lot on your mind when you're planning a wedding, whether you like it or not! So I guess you're proned to have bad dreams about it ?!
I had this crazy dream last night where it was the morning of the wedding and all of a sudden my left eyeball popped out of my head. My mother had to rush me to the hospital.. and I kept thinking "I hope I'll get back in time.. its my wedding!" There was a scene on ER once where that happened to one of Abby's patients...
But anyway that was a FREAKY dream. I'm sure we all have some crazy wedding dreams at one point or another.
No wedding-related ones yet, but I did have a dream fairly recently in which I was pregnant. I don't remember anything that happened in the dream, just that I had a belly, and that one of my friends was in the dream with me and also had a belly. *cringes* To me, this is indeed a nightmare, because I'm 22 and not even sure that I want to have kids at all...and if I do, I doubt I'll want to do it for at least ten years.
My FI makes fun of me because I hardly ever remember my dreams. Well, I remembered that one and told him about it as soon as he woke up!
Definitely have had the unprepared wedding nightmare! Also I had a dream that my FI's grandma died the night before our wedding and he didn't want to get married anymore. Also a dream I was standing on the dance floor awaiting our first dance and he was nowhere to be found! You would think we have a terrible relationship, but I think it is just the stress
I've been having the pregnancy dreams lately too, it's really odd. I've never wanted kids and now I'm having dreams about being pregnant...
@ budgetbeautiful--i had the hot dogs in my dream, too! the caterer showed up with hot dogs, vienna sausages (iiiicccccckkkk!) and beanie wienies...and grape drink. the purple stuff we used to have at camp that was really just...purple-ish water.
@emilybrook--have you talked to your guy about it? i don't mean to jump in where I don't belong, but that's a serious, scary dream in my opinion.
In my nightmare, noone has any fun and everyone is grumbly at the reception :(
I had a dream last night that took me through my whole wedding. I hadn't finished planning anything or making arangements, so all of the decisions were made by my mother. Everything was the opposite of what I had been planning. And when I walked down the aisle, my groom and all of the groomsmen weren't wearing any pants - just tacky boxer shorts! Talk about a silly nightmare!
I did have one a couple of weeks ago, it was totally bizarre and I can't even remember it now...
Oh my gosh. I read the post and thought you were saying it actually happened. I was wondering "how was great grandma there if she's deceased?". I didn't take nightmare literally.
Ugh! I don't wish engagement nightmares on anyone!
I always dream that my nasty FMIL kidnaps Mr. Dan the day of the wedding to "save" him from me... LOL.
Oh yes, I have wedding nightmares...every night. But my wedding is just under a month away...
In my dreams I always oversleep :(

last night i had my first engagement nightmare. It started off I was visiting my grandparents in Oregon, my Grama threw me an engagement/advice party. It was mainly her sisters, and a few other girls i didn't know, even my deceased great grandma whom i've never met was there. But anyways, all of a sudden i get a text from Mr.Bobbypin saying the engagement was off. I called him to find out what was going on(this was right after the party started, i'd gone into another room). He said it was over with no emotion in his voice. I asked him what i was supposed to tell everyone, he replied with "I wish you joy, and three kids." No matter what i asked he wouldn't give me a straight answer.
I woke up and called Mr.Bobbypin first thing. At first(as it was ringing and we said hello) i was fine, by the way this happend at 5:30 this morning. All of a sudden i just started bawling and asking if he still wanted to get married and if i'd done anything wrong.
I just want to know how many other brides have had nightmares related to their weddings or even engagements?
