(Closed) Engagement Party

you could have your own small engagement party and have the people that support and matter to you the most. It doesnt have to be a traditional thing. At least if you have an engagement party you will get an idea of who will be at the wedding for the ones that want to be there and support you. We aren’t having one at all….most of my family and a lot of friends live in arizona, nevada, and tx…(we live in california). we just got engaged in april and we arent getting married until 2014 too.

We got engaged in the December and had our engagement party the following February. At the time we’d set a date for 2009 but it didn’t end up happening, so waiting until the time is right and then having something small and intimate.

We paid for the engagement party ourselves, including a bar tab.

Sorry to hear that some don’t approve of your relationship…
