My engagement party was a very laid back event at my FIL's house. They did a backyard barbeque with ribs and hamburgers. There weren't any decorations. But if I were going to decorate, I would probably not want it to look like my wedding. I would want everything about the wedding day to be a surprise to my guests.

Quick question about decorations for an engagement party. First of all any ideas??? Also would it be wrong to go with the same theme for the engagement party as the wedding? What did you do for your engagement party?
