We had an engagement party. My Fiance really likes craft beers so he and a friend set up a tasting at our engagement party. People mingled and met from both sides of the family. It made for an interesting evening with me being an only child and my Fiance is one of 9 kids. Anyway, I would suggest having a casual set up of horseshoes, checkers, dominoes, maybe conversation cards. That way there isn't a long commitment to any game, and people have activities but can mingle as well. Just an idea. Good luck and congratulations on your engagement.

Hi Bees! My FI and I are having an Engagement party in two weeks. It will be held at a picnic shelter by the lake during lunch until around 4pm. We are expecting about 80 close family and friends but we are just at a loss on what other activities we should do. We are planning to make a short speech (Thanking everyone who came, update on wedding, etc.) but we have nothing else to do after. I know it will be an opportunity for both sides of our families to meet but I'm worried our guests will get bored after :(
I don't know if we should we do games, but I would really appreciate your suggestions!
Thanks in advance!
