Balboa Park in San Diego has beautiful architecture and makes for beautiful engagement photos.
Is there a place that has special meaning to you? Does your photographer have ideas that fit your criteria?
does santa ana have an old town? i think i remember the architecture there being nice, (and the train station as well). also, how about san juan capistrano. GORGEOUS old town and the mission can provide a lot of interesting backgrounds.

we did ours in Irvine Regional Park in Orange. Really big park with a lake, petting zoo and a train station.
Like Charm Bracelet said, if you look in the LA & OC boards, there are plenty of previous posts with suggestions for photo shoot locations.
We went to Point Fermin Lighthouse and the Korean Friendship Bell in San Pedro.
I've seen and loved engagement pix from the Fullerton Arboretum, the LB Aquarium, the Angel Stadium, Disneyland, Venice Boardwalk.

I need ideas for my engagement photo session. Something besides the beach. We are willing to drive to LA or SD. I want the photos to have an old and classic background. Maybe some great architechture or hills in the background. Any ideas are more than welcome!
