    Long story short:
I bought this dress for e-pics (BCBGeneration on sale at Macy's!) It looks cute since I'm shorter and doesn't hit as high on the thigh as it does on the model.
Engagement photo outfit help! : wedding engagement picture help outfit Bcbg

On a different trip, I bought shoes that I fell in love with that I thought would match.
Engagement photo outfit help! : wedding engagement picture help outfit Shoes
But they don't match. The blue of the dress is more purple, and the blue of the shoes is a royal blue. But I still want to wear these shoes! So I just photoshopped (horribly) an outfit together that I thought would go with the shoes. What do you guys think?

My big issue, however, is my hips. I have childbearing hips that do not look good in skinny jeans. Are there any ladies out there with suggestions on how to pull off a colored jean with womanly hips?

I don't think that the two blues need to be the same to be cute together. The dress is shorter so it's not right next to your foot anyway. Can you take a picture in the original outfit and post it? I wouldn't suggest wearing colored jeans if you feel unflattering in them!

I agree with PP, if you dont feel like your best in skinny jeans and they arent something you would normally wear, then prob not worth the risk. I say the blues dont have to match, but also I think that dress is too cute not to wear. You will be seeing much more of you in that dress than the shoes. If I were you, probably wouldnt sacrifice a cute outfit just to wear shoes I like. Just my 2 cents...

I agree with PP's...  the shoes and dress will took cute together, you wouldn't see very much of your feet anyways, and the dress and shoes are far enough apart that they shouldn't clash.  I wouldn't wear the skinny jeans if they aren't something that you normally wear!

I actually like your 2nd outfit better and love the idea of colored skinny jeans. I would say just make sure to layer your tops, I love the idea of the blazer/jacket. I would even wear a shirt (unbuttoned or v-neck) that is an inch or two longer than the blazer. Also, to really show off the shoes I would make sure the jeans hit the same spot they are in the pic, a little above the ankle. If you can take some real life pics of your ideas!

Go with a wideleg jean and that top and those adorable shoes!  The wideleg jean will elongate your legs and hide your hips.  Although, curves are TOTALLY IN!  Who seriously wants a waif anymore!?

I really like the dress and shoes.  Your feet are far enough away from your leg that  it'll be hard to notice the difference.

@Mrs.D-To-Be:  Thanks so much! I think I love it. But I also need a casual outfit. What do you think on those?

Love the dress! Looks great with those heels. Cant even tell a color difference. As for casual, I prefer the first one with the orange flutter shirt. Maybe a different heel though :/

The dress looks a lot better on you than in the picture, def wear the dress with the rampage shoes! I also like your casual outfit with the coral top, the color is very falttering with your skintone. Great choices!

That is a really cute dress! For casual, I like the coral sweater (but go with the blue/cream shoes, not the shiny ones). I also like the cardigan outfit (+ a cute belt) but they usually say to go for brighter colors, so I'd probably do coral. I think the seafoam sweater is cute, but the other options are a lot cuter. The flutter shirt is also cute but I think something solid/not shear will photograph better. I also think shoes that are not metallic will photo better too, and you can still do heels but I'd skip something quite so formal/dressy for the jeans look. I think you could just use the same shoes in both photos. You look stunning in that dress so I'm sure the photos will turn out great!

@rubyroad10:  the dress and shoes look perfect together! But for your casual outfits I would maybe find a more casual pair of shoes cause it looks weird when the shoes are dressy but you are in a casual top and jeans.

    maybe even cute casual boots?

Definitely the dress, definitely not the cardigan. If the two unmatching blues bother you, then consider adding a third blue. A belt or a handbag or jewellery, maybe.

Thanks, guys. I think I feel the LEAST wide in the coral sweater. FI commented that he liked the orange flutter the best. And I have some boots that look similar to this:

I LOVE your outfits.  The dress is great, and I think the sheer orange flutter shirt is the cutest of all the shirts.  It highlights your waist and doesn't detract from your shape the way that cardigan does.  The jeans look awesome on you, too!  You have a great figure.

The dress and blue shoes are PERFECT together!

And yeah, you are not large at all! You are so cute and adorable! I also like the orange and coral shirts!

You could have a couple of outfits with you and change, get some shots in both(or three) outfits and then pick the photos from that.  Plus, your photographer will be inspired by the different looks!

    Also, congrats! :)

OH GOD WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MODEL'S HAND?!?

No just kidding. I like the coral sweater the best, it's so cute! I like the ruffly coral top, but it might look weird in pictures because the white tank top doesn't go all the way down to the bottom of the shirt, you know what I mean? Maybe if you could find a tank top that matches it's length exactly, and doesn't have the straps showing by your shoulders.

And the dress and shoes go perfectly together. Your e-pics are going to be adorable!

Yep def go with the dress & then the orange ruffley top w/ jeans (which I think looks great on you by the way.)

However, I'm not feeling the silver shoes with that orange top. So I vote for those boots your pictured above.

Thanks, everyone! Y'all are making me feel a little better about my insecurities :)
Coral sweater and orange flutter top are neck and neck. I guess it will depend on the weather tomorrow! We're in New Orleans so it's more spring like around here than winter.
I'll be sure to post pictures of how it all comes out as soon as we get them.

You guys are great. Thanks for being my fashion gurus!

i love the cardigan outfit, but i'd definitely wear boots instead, to even out your body shape.

    btw, that dress is GORGEOUS!!!

I am like you and carry my weight in my thighs

Have you thought of a cute aline or pencil denim skirt instead of skinny jeans

You're gorgeous!  Don't be self conscious!  A good percentage of engagement photos are more of the close up variety.  If you still have concerns communicate them to your photographer.

@SoontobeSLM:  Will do :). We only had time to do a casual outfit, but we had tons of fun! FI and I went to the French Quarter to hang out at a bar for about an hour before to get a couple of drinks. It made flirting in front of a total stranger a lot easier :). I e-mailed the photographer afterward and told him thank you, and he said that we were an easy shoot and had great natural smiles! Should see some pictures in a week to a week and a half, so I will share as soon as I get them!
