What I feel works best, well considering my shooting style, is to be free and relaxed when you have this.

But I guess there are some poses you can do.

If you have a nice alleyway, you could have the Fiance lean against the wall and you leaning towards him to kiss with a slight lift of the right or left leg.

HAve the Fiance lift you up while laughing or kissing… hmm this one is harder to describe with words…

But Let your photog know that you would like to have some posed shots as well as candids.   And try out different things!

We never really posed.  Our photographers just had us act natural and we got some really good shots!  We do have one though where he is behind me with his arms around my waist and my head is back looking at him.  My friend also has one where they are holding hands leaning against a wall looking out.

combination of natural action and some posed is best.  check out our "love" gallery for some ideas

We really tried to keep it mostly natural…but put ourselve in a setting — indoor "market" — where tons of options presented themselves.  I only wish we’d done more action — running, jumping — shots or poses sitting/lying on the ground.  (I was hesitant to do both due to my shoes and not wanting to dirty my outfits!)

keep in mind, photographers usually have a style they shoot in, and this usually means a core set of poses they like to use and situations they like to shoot in, and then other times they just work with couple and the surroundings to get good shots….

always welcome to have suggestions from couples as well, but remember, photography, like any art, is very personal to the photographer

I’m a major poser, but for our engagements the photographer we had was so "sneaky" lol that most of our pics I had no idea she was taking them. Our engagements and my bridals are amazing (and I usually hate pics of myself). If you want to get some ideas though (some of our pics were on a gravel rd, in a "field" of yellow flowers (it really was on the side of the road by a ditch) you can email me and I’ll give you her sight. She has some really original ideas that you can use to give you ideas. Or just look up engagement photographers online and make notes of what you like and don’t like
