Okay, the idea of planning a wedding is still overwhelming to me however, we are having our engagement photo shoot this weekend and I wont lie it’s causing small anxiety pains in my chest lol.
I need some opinions, assistance please. J is very straightlaced likes the 50’s style, and I am most comfortable in sun dresses and flannel, my parents were hippies and it’s how I like to be. I’m hoping you can see my anxiety at how to style this thing. I don’t want us to clash but I also don’t want to try to match and look kitchy if that makes sense.
Our photos will be shot next to some train tracks we have in town (we are both avid train enthusiasts and photograph them for rail magazines….yeah there are rail magazines lol) and also in a beautiful field near by.
Any thoughts ladies?

@Bram: the advice my photographer gave us was to wear solids (try to avoid patterns) and complimentary colors (such as blue and yellow). Find a dress you really like and that goes with the feel you are looking for and then plan his outfit according to that. I also might suggest a casual outfit and a dressier one. Like maybe flannel shirts for one and then a sundress in another.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Yeah I was told as well to wear solids that complement each other. And not to wear white. Also if you are doing your own makeup, wear more than you normally would so it will photograph better. Wear something comfortable too so that you can get in different poses easier.
