@Barbiestylez:  as awkward as the poses feel, just trust the photographer.  I kept panicking thinking “holy shit these are going to come out awful” because I felt SO awkward… but they turned out really awesome actually. Just try to be as relaxed as possible!

@Barbiestylez:  Just be yourself, have fun! We got a lot of great ones when we were just joking around with each other and goofing around when we did not know the photographer was still snapping.

@blushbliss:  Yes, yes, yes! the ones that felt the most awkard, were actually some of my favorites!

@Barbiestylez:  Try to relax and just have fun. It took my FI and I a few shots to get comfortable with our photographer and the camera. He put us in a few poses here and there. My FI and I did some our shelves as well. I also showed him some pictures I liked and we did some of those poses too. I had soooo much fun and surprisingly my FI did too because he hates getting his picture taken. Our pictures turned out really good.

@Barbiestylez:  Use it as an opportunity to get comfortable with your photog and build a relationship with him/her before your wedding; listen to his/her direction; make suggestions if you want certain shots; and have fun!

You’ll look fantastic and have a blast I’m sure.

My best advice is don’t be afraid to ask for a picture you want, where you want it.  When we went I wanted pictures against old buildings with dead vines growing on them, and separate from that, we walked by a stone wall that had some trees in the background with snow still on them.  I told the photographer I wanted a lot of pictures there because the setting was beautiful.  I love every picture I have from us by that wall!  Keep yourself open minded to their ideas too…she actually got us to lay down in the snow as one of our last shots and it came out really good!
