We are having out engagement pictures outside. Any ideas on what to wear ?

I'm assuming you live in PA, as do I :) We took outdoor pictures near the woods in the leaves. I wore a sweater and jeans, FI did the same. We just wanted something casual that reflected the season. Ultimately, it's up to you, just depends on where your pictures are being taken and what you want them to look like!

Like bridetobe62611 said, it depends on the season.

I always tell couples to be themselves. Wear clothes they are comfortable in.

There are a few general rules.

Wear solids. Sripes, plaids, polka dots, and logos can be distracting. The exception is if the guy is a diehard Eagles fan and wants to wear a jersey or in a rock band and wears plaid shirts a lot, etc.
Try to wear long sleeves. It's weird, but lots of arms and hands can be distracting from your faces, which are the real focus.
You don't have to match exactly, but it is nice when outits are co-ordinated
Think about the scenery/season. Right now I would recommend earth tones to compliment the season or bright colors to really stand out and be unique.

This would definitely be a fun time to do a woods e-session. The stark landscape would be compelling. Especially if you had a bright outfit on. I've always wanted to do the bundled up winter session with mittons and funny winter hats.
