My cousin lives down there and did photos in both Carlsbad (on the beach) and up at San Juan Capistrano. Her Capistrano photos turned out to be AMAZING!

I haven't decided where we are doing ours yet, but Balboa Park and the beach seem to be very popular, for obvious reasons.

Talk with your photographer, chances are they will have some great ideas as to where.

I second Balboa Park. We had our pictures done in La Jolla near the Children's Pool and they came out beautifully.

Balboa Park is always great. I have seen some done at Sunset Cliffs and La Jolla at the beach and those turned out really nice. I also think you should talk to your photographer. If you are a sports person, there is always Petco Park and the Gaslamp area too!

What I have done, is search through photographers websites for engagement pics to see areas around town that I really like.
