I am getting married on 5/25/2013 (Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend). I really want to use my engagement photos for Save-the Dates.
I was supposed to take my photos on 8/1 , but my photographer had to reschedule for tomorrow, 8/15. Now there is going to be scattered thunderstorms tomorrow so we have to reschedule again (we really dont want rain pictures. While other people’s look great, I think I would have way too much anxiety over it to “just go with it.”)
Now we are looking at taking our e-pics in September, which really pushes back our save-the-dates. Do you think I should just send out save-the-dates without e-pics?
I am afraid that sending them out in October is too late. Granted, we only have a couple of out of towners and most people have been told when the wedding is …. but I still wanted to give at least 8 months official notice due to the holiday weekend!

- Wedding: August 2013 - Brookfield Zoo
October is only 7 months versus 8 months notice, I think it would be fine for you to send them out then. Or if you are taking pics in early September, you may be able to get them out before the end of the month?

don’t worry about it. Just have everything you want to do for the save the dates ready minus the pictures so you can just throw them in and print and send right away.
My wedding is 2 weeks after yours (granted not a holiday weekend but 80% of the ppl are from out of state… i’ll prolly send mine out in september.

Thanks ladies 🙂 Right now we are looking at September 5th as our next e-pic session. I am thinking I could get everything in the mail pretty close to my mental deadline, maybe only a week after at most. I am going to gather addresses very soon. I am thinking that when I do that, I will mention the wedding date then as sort of a pre-save-the date for anyone who doesnt already know the date.
