I suggest you go online… Most of the stores that you mentioned are owned by the same company, and their certifications are mostly by EGL, which means, the way they grade the diamond is a bit off, like if it says G color, it’s actually an I (warmer color), so their jewelries are actually over priced for the quality, and they’re massed produced, so there’s more chance that the ring could break or lose some stones. Look for an AGL or GIA certification. Check out Kay’s facebook, and you’ll see all the complaints. Although this doesn’t happen to everyone, it does happen a lot compared to having a ring costumised to your size or something. If you do want to save some money, go to online sites like Blue Nile, Adiamor, Brilliant Earth, James Allen or good old gold. Blue Neil and Adiamor are very similar, but I went with Adiamor because their prices are actually cheaper compared to Blue Neil, but with the same exact quality. I highly recommend all those companies. May I ask the carat of the diamond and karat of gold that you were looking at?

Oh, and there’s really no BARGAINING when it comes to new jewelries, especially this big companies, that’s more like a business tactic to make you think that you getting a deal… It’s either you get something expensive, or something with a descent price somewhere else.
