engagement ring as wedding ring?

I’m upgrading my set and probably doing this for a little. My setting has almost a two band look though so I’m ok with passing it off as both for a little. Or I may just wear a cheap eternity band I have with it. Maybe look for something similar to this that has a two band look?

ceimi:  I have no idea? Haha. I just found it while looking through a catalogue, wasn’t something I was specifically looking for.

ceimi:  Sure, there’s nothing wrong with that idea. The only thing is, if you wear one ring, and it looks like an engagment ring (like a solitaire or thin-band halo, etc) people are likely to think you’re engaged instead of married. If you don’t want to be constantly correcting people, you might want to either look for something that doesn’t scream engagement, OR wear it with the claddagh. Even though people would probably assume the solitaire was the engagement ring and claddagh was the wedding band (when in your case, it would be the other way around) that wouldn’t really matter. They’d know you were married, which is the point. (Well, the other point, in addition to the meaning of the ring to you and your spouse.)

I considered this as well because we wanted to save money where we could (but ended up buying something pretty cheap). My sister-in-law does this and she’s been married for 3 years now. Her ring is vintage with lots of filigree and is really beautiful on its own.

I think it’s fine. If my fiance will be okay with it… i’m not sure if i want to wear my wedding band all the time. Maybe switch between the two? I don’t love them together… i have small fingers and i really just love my engagement ring by itself!
