Some people have bad feelings about Pawn shops but I personally love them! I got my temp ring while I picked out what I wanted. A lot of times, they sell at wholesale prices so you can get a decent deal and sometimes there are really awesome vintage pieces!
We're a on a budget too so I picked out my vintage mounting on Ebay (from a reputable seller) and picked out my center sapphire at a local jewler. All together it cost us about $600 and it's exactly what I wanted!
This is a very exciting time! Congrats!!
My fiance got mine on overstock.com. It was about $150 and it's gorgeous. I'll attach a picture.
Thank you both!
misscake, your ring is beautiful! i'll definitely have to keep overstock in mind :)
Have you thought of going the Moissanite route. I have a friend who did a moissanite and no one can even tell. Harder than CZ, made of the same compund as a diamond and 1/8 as expensive. Should look into it.

Hi ladies! I'm new to the site. So I'll introduce myself :) I'm Lindsey and I'm 20 and my boyfriend (soon to be fiance) is 23. We have been together 3 1/2 years. I just graduated nursing school & am currently working and he's close to finishing up accounting school within the next year or so. But, we don't want to wait that long to get engaged! We are hoping to get engaged before February and get married in January of 2011. He's working part time and doesn't have a lot of money at the time. Any suggestions of where to find engagement rings on a budget? Or maybe suggestions of where to find nice cubic zirconia engagement rings. The plan is to get a "starter" engagement ring, and upgrade as soon as we can afford it. The ring itself doesn't matter to me as much as marrying the man that I'm in love with does :)
Thanks in advance for all your help! I'm really excited to join this website and look forward to sharing all the wedding details with everyone!
