No they don't, but they will let you buy it separately from a wedding package and put that amount towards a wedding package should you decide to use them.
I think a lot do now...but I wouldn't say it is necessarily customary yet. You can always negotiate a bit.
Ours is offering us a free session and will also take our fav and blow it up to 11x14 with an autograph mat. In this economy I think vendors are more willing to work with you. It never hurts to ask
Some will offer one with the "purchase of a wedding package" other than that I havent seen it unless they are wanting to build their portfolio
It's not typical to offer the e-session with the wedding package, but you can definitely purchase one from any photographer. We do offer the session for free because it helps us too - get to see what you like in photos, if you have any concerns about getting your photo taken, and get you used to our personalities. It makes the wedding so much smoother that I highly recommend it, even if it's not included!!

When I was looking pretty much 80% of all the phototgraphers I looked at DID. My photographer in the end didn't but was not that much of an issue for us with how inexpensive he was to begin with.
This is also in Canada so may be more of a common thing here

Do most photographers offer a complimentary engagement session? As sort of chance to see if you work well with the photographer and you're pleased with the pics?
