I have an engagement session coming up in about a month. Is there anything you need to do before an engagement session? Like get your ring cleaned or a manicure or a haircut, etc.?
What did you ladies do?

I didn’t do any of that but if youy want to, then go for it! Make sure you have an outfit or multiple outfits ready.

I’d definitely make sure your ring is clean/fingernails are in good shape. You’ll probably have some shots showcasing the ring. I didn’t get my hair done, just curled it, and applied a little more make-up than normal. Have fun picking out your outfit(s), I loved getting my engagement photos taken!

I had my hair and makeup done, did my own nails because I forgot to schedule a mani/pedi, made sure I had all our outfits picked out, kept in constant touch with the photog…
Remember to bring the check to pay them, bring some extra makeup for touchups, any hair supplies to touch up hair or change it up, BRING FOOD AND WATER!! Omg so important, I didnt really eat much that day from being so busy and it was hot and our appt was 2 hrs and I was sick for 2 days from dehydration and heat exhaustion! Got some great pics but it was not fun after. Bring some snacks and water with you and make sure you eat that day. Trust me! Have your photog’s cell number with you in case you get lost or have any issues that day before you meet, you never know. If you want, take your ring to the jeweler to have to cleaned so it sparkles pretty. If you have any specific shots you want to get, write them down and bring them with you so you can tell your photog.
Hmm thats all I can think of at the moment! Have fun!!

I got a fake tan a couple of days before — big mistake, as my face got ORANGE, and it took a LOT of washing and scrubbing to bring it to a normal level (luckily, it worked).
My nails are SO short and never grow, so I got some fake nails at CVS, and used them. They looked pretty real, specially in pictures, so $6 well spent!
Also washed my hair the night before and straightened it (to avoid the unpredictable waves I get). Though I wore heels, I brought flipflops with me, since there would be a lot of walking.
