Mine is in a week, and thanks to my busy class schedule last week, I am just NOW getting back to our photographer about what our ‘vision’ is. (Or lack thereof.)
When you ladies had your shoots done, did you photographer have lots of props already, or did you mostly bring your own???
I don’t have a very specific idea of what I want, but I have seen some really popular props before that I thought were cute, but if my photographer doesn’t have any, I REALLY need to get on prop-patrol this week.

Do you have any inspiration pics? I don’t know if I have ever seen props like you are talking about (at least, like I am imagining) in engagement pics??

We didn’t use many props for engagement photos, but we did use these. We also did our photos at the Santa Monica Pier which is a prop in itself. 🙂 Are you thinking of a sort of “picnic” prop or something similar?

@primcess: I think stuff like this is really sweet:

We had a quilt that I made that was very nice for sitting/laying in the grass. It made a pretty backdrop and kept us from getting all wet in the grass.

@meg.miles: I love the signs! Where did you get them? I was going to look for some chalkboards to write some different saying on (ie “I stole her heart”, “So I’m stealing his last name”)
We got a large metal ampersand from target to do pictures somewhat like this….
(our sign isn’t quite this big unfortunately I wasn’t able to find one like that =/)
