We have 2 amazing choices for our engagement shoot next month.
Jersey shore beach engagement shoot…we always go to jersey shore every year and are such beach bums. Also, he proposed to me on vacation in Clearwater Beach, FL .
Barton Orchards pumpkin patch. This is something we do EVERY year at the end of September. We always pick out the hugest pumpkins we can carry, together, and have so much fun just being silly (as in he climbs up apple trees like a monkey) when we pick our apples together.
I can think of amazing photo ideas and prop ideas with both. And outfit ideas too.
I guess one of the cons for the beach would be if the humidity or salt in the air or wind messes up my hair 🙁 and then the con for the pumpkin patch is (in fiance’s words) we are getting married in the Summer why would we have fall pictures for engagement … I don’t agree with that.
But other than that, we can’t decide.

I think the pumpkin patch/apple orchard is more original, and would be a really awesome place for a photo shoot!

I say the pumpkin patch! FI and I are planning a late spring/early summer wedding, and we’re going to do fall E-pics for a little variety. I don’t want (or need) a million pictures of us in green fields….I want half with green fields, and half with colorful leaves!

I also vote for the Apple Orchard. I think it would be really unique and colorful!

I agree I haven’t seen much pumpkin patch photo shoots, even on pinterest! I have a few inspiration photos of both types….I’m almost leaning towards the fall theme shoot!

I wanted to do the beach at first, but we ended up not and I’m actually glad! The beach is beautiful of course, but it all looks the same so there’s less variety. We ended up going to this really cool old building with all these arches and ivy and then another nearby location with beautiful natural scenery. So I vote the orchard/pumpkin patch because I think there’s more you can do it and it’s more original.

Pumpkin patch! My FI and i just did our e pics this Thursday near the water and we spent more than half of the time fixing my hair from the wind. It kept getting in my face and looked a hot mess in some of the pics bc of it!

We just did our e session a couple days ago. We were at a state park that had both water and trees/meadow. We spent most of the time in the “tree areas” because of the colors our photographer could use.
Because of this, I think the orchard/pumpkin patch would make for a great setting.

Pumpkin patch! 😀 I know Jersey shore area is irresistable, but I haven’t seen many pumpkin patch/apple orchard pictures. I would really like you to be the first person to show me. 🙂
